Our Funders and Stakeholders
This project is part of the National Challenge Fund, established under the government’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), funded by the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility. The fund is coordinated by Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland.
We are proud to have collaborated with a network of dedicated partners including community and library services and commercial, public sector and non-governmental organisations, and have built a network of over 500 stakeholders. We have also established contacts with more than 45 organisations across 22 counties and 6 nations.
We have engaged with individuals learning to develop their Cyber Safety knowledge, through interviews to understand their specific cybersecurity needs, and also to gather input from Digital Educators on the best strategies for teaching cyber safety knowledge. Participants have included adults over 65, adults with autism, those living with visual impairments, intellectual disabilities, and dementia, as well as migrant communities, digital educators, and caregivers.
Through these collaborative efforts, we continue to develop effective, user-centered solutions for promoting cyber safety.

Letterkenny Library Donegal
Letterkenny library has become a valued partner by completing our e-learning course. With the highest completion rate in Ireland, 27 Donegal librarians are now equipped to help the public stay safe online. Their achievement was celebrated at a recognition event in July 2025, where each library received its official Cyber Safety Charter.
Our next step is to expand the course to libraries in other counties across Ireland, ensuring communities nationwide benefit from the same skills and support.
Become a Cyber Safety ChampionAge Action
We have partnered with Age Action to co-design resources for older adults, including our Cyber Safety card game and information booklet, to help them feel confident and safe online. This collaboration gave us valuable insights into the direct needs of older adults, and the resources were even showcased on RTÉ’s show 10 Things to Know About.
Going forward, we plan to continue distributing these resources and deepening our engagement with older adult groups through workshops.

Horizons
We have partnered with Horizons to work with adults with intellectual disabilities, creating opportunities to learn, share, and connect with this community. Their feedback has been invaluable in helping us understand the online safety information they need and the formats that work best for them.
Next, we will test and refine these resources to ensure they are accessible, practical, and directly address their concerns, helping this group stay safe online.
Join Our Co-Creation Competition
We have engaged a diverse range of stakeholders including public sector bodies, NGOs, community and library services, and commercial organisations. Their collaboration highlights the project’s potential to improve digital literacy, enhance online safety, and extend our resources to digital newcomers across Ireland.

Cyber Safety on Screen
We were thrilled to have our Cyber Safety project featured on RTÉ’s show “10 Things to Know About” on the 11th of November 2024. The episode highlighted our resources, including the Cybersafety Card Game, Cyberadvice Booklet, and our soon-to-launch E-Learning Course, as well as interviews with participants we have engaged with through workshops and community events, with the hope of equipping them with the skills they need to navigate the digital world confidently and securely. This milestone reflects our commitment to making the online space safer for everyone. Click here to view the full episode on RTÉ Player.
