About Us
The Cyber Safety Project focuses on the lack of tailored, accessible support for Irish citizens to navigate the online world safely. We are dedicated to equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the digital world.
Our mission is to provide accessible cybersecurity resources and guidance tailored to the unique needs of individuals who are becoming more familiar with technology. Through our educational resources and support, we aim to reduce vulnerability to online threats, fostering confidence in exploring the internet while safeguarding personal information.
Our mission

Our Partners
This project is part of the National Challenge Fund, established under the government’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), funded by the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility. The fund is coordinated by Research Ireland.
We are proud to have collaborated with a network of dedicated partners including community and library services and commercial, public sector and non-governmental organisations, and have built a network of:
- 427 stakeholders
- 272 older adults
- 45 organisations across 22 counties
Cyber Safety’s Commitment to Sustainability
We are committed to ensuring that our Cyber Safety resources and activities are delivered in ways that are environmentally responsible and accessible to all.
Reducing Travel and Carbon Emissions
From the outset of our project, we have prioritised reducing our environmental footprint. By delivering workshops and research through local hubs and online platforms, we eliminated the need for participants to travel. This approach reduces transport-related emissions while also making our resources more accessible to those in rural communities.
Minimising Waste and Responsible Printing
Physical resources, such as the Cyber Safety Information Booklet and our educational card game, are printed on request through an Irish supplier. This prevents overproduction and ensures materials are distributed where they are genuinely needed. For participants who require physical resources, all printed materials use recyclable paper, and our card game is provided without packaging to further reduce waste.
Digital-First, But Not Digital-Only
Our e-learning course and other resources are available online, reducing reliance on physical materials. We are constantly working to transition more of our resources into digital formats while still providing tangible formats for those who prefer hands-on learning. This will help us reduce material use even further, while making learning resources instantly accessible.
Sustainability is integral to our project mission: as we support people to stay safe online, we are equally committed to creating resources that respect and protect our environment.
